Manuals for discipleship from the Del Camino Network
In participation with the Latin-American Theological Fraternity and Kairos Foundation the Del Camino Network is developing this collection of practical manuals that will assist local churches in the discipleship and formation of servants committed to our collective Kingdom mission. The idea came up several years ago among network members and to date we now have published two manuals with a third on the way! We hope to provide churches with study materials for each and every man and women, young and old from the communities of faith that responds to our contexts and dreams as Latin-Americans.
The themes developed in the manuals come forth from the realities we are a part of as the church in Latin America and the Caribbean. The manuals are developed in community among network practitioners. The studies are inclusive in nature and conversational, they emphasize the freedom each christian has in coming to the bible to learn and contribute his or her own life experience in the faith towards local theology of the church.
The two manuals already published are: What is Integral Mission? written by Rene Padilla with study guides prepared by Juan Jose Barreda and Claudia Juarez; and God of Anger or God of Love? written by Marcos baker, with study guides written by Omar Cortes and Mariana Alvarez. We hope the third manual will be ready in the coming months. It is titled, The Church Where Everyone Fits, which as the title indicates treats the theme of the local church as a body of freedom and valuing of one another in the full life of the Kingdom of God.
The Del Camino network is making these manuals available to all of the churches connected into the RDC network movement. Kairos Publishers for its part is marketing the manuals to the broader public. To obtain your copies of these important manuals please write
